Fine Arts Magnet

At Burbank Elementary, our Fine Arts Magnet Program is designed to help students discover their interests, develop their talents, and grow as young artists.

Students in Kinder–2nd grade participate in 50-minute general Fine Arts Magnet classes each day. During these early years, students are introduced to a variety of fine arts areas, allowing them to explore different disciplines while developing foundational artistic skills.

Beginning in 3rd grade, students have the opportunity to take greater ownership of their Fine Arts experience. In addition to their Magnet classes, students in 3rd–5th grade participate in Magnet Electives twice a week, where they can select an area of interest and receive more focused instruction. These electives allow students to strengthen their skills and explore a Fine Arts area more deeply.

Students may also take their talents beyond the school day through our after-school Magnet clubs. Select clubs require tryouts or auditions and provide students with additional opportunities to develop advanced skills, collaborate with their peers, and participate in performances, competitions, and special events.

From early exploration in Kinder through more specialized opportunities in 3rd–5th grade, Burbank's Fine Arts Magnet Program provides a pathway for every student to explore, create, grow, and shine!
