Our Athletics & Extracurriculars

At Burbank Elementary, we believe in nurturing the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally. Our wide variety of clubs and extracurriculars provides students with opportunities to explore their interests, build leadership skills, and connect with peers in meaningful ways. Here's a look at some of the exciting clubs available to our students:

  • Big Buddies: A mentoring program where older students build relationships with younger peers through activities that promote friendship, leadership, and responsibility.

  • Empower: Focused on leadership, confidence, and personal growth, this club helps students become positive influencers in their school and community.

  • Hospitality Club: Students work together to welcome new families, support school events, and spread school spirit through acts of service and kindness.

  • Safety Patrol: Students assist during morning arrival to help younger students and guests during the busy morning arrival process.

  • Kindness Crew: Promoting compassion and inclusion, this student-led group focuses on spreading positivity through random acts of kindness and school-wide initiatives.

  • Musical Theatre: A musical group where students explore elements of music, dance and acting. Great for those who love to express themselves musically!

  • Burbank Cheer Squad: A spirited group of students who serve as school ambassadors, promote school pride, and support campus events with positivity and poise.

  • Library Leaders: Students who assist in the library with book organization, reading promotions, and helping peers develop a love for literacy.

  • PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership): A service-oriented club where students lead by example, support their classmates, and contribute to a positive school environment.

  • Yearbook Club: Students become photographers, writers, and designers as they collaborate to capture and preserve memories from throughout the school year.

  • STEM Club: STEM club provides opportunities for fun, hands-on learning for children to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) concepts through project-based learning, critical thinking, and creative skills.

  • Art Club: Focused on unique art mediums, students are able to cultivate their creativity and share their talent throughout the school and community.

  • Burbank Ballerinas: In partnership with the Houston Ballet, students get to explore dance through after school field trips to the Houston Ballet.
